Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, the new Registrar of the Joint Admissions And Matriculation Board was born on October, 1954 and hails from Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State.
His Secondary Education was at Progressive Institute, Agege Lagos from 1969-1973 and Arabic Training Centre Agege, Lagos, (Markaz) from 1973-1976.
He proceeded to University of Ilorin for his tertiary education where he obtained B.A. Arabic (First Class Hons) in 1981 and was afterwards appointed an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Religions of the University.
He equally obtained his Doctorate degree in Islamic Studies in 1991 from University of Ilorin and rose to the rank of a professor in 1995.
He was the Chairman, Committee of Directors of Academic planning in Nigerian Universities from 2002 to 2004.
He was a board member of the Association of commonwealth Universities (ACU) from 2010 to 2012 and International Association of Universities (IAU) from 2008 to 2012.
He became the Vice Chancellor of UNILORIN for a single term of five years on the 15th October 2007.
He was the Executive Secretary and National Coordinator of the Nigerian Inter-Religious Council (NIREC) from 2007 to 2012.
And just before his appointment as the new JAMB Registrar; he served as the Secretary General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
