The Delta State Government has ordered the immediate closure of all public and private schools in the state until Monday, November 2nd 2020.
Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa made this announcement in a state-wide broadcast today, saying that a 48-hour curfew has been imposed in the state, starting from 6 pm today, October 22.
This is coming after the peaceful #EndSARS protest on Wednesday night took a violent turn in Delta State after thugs set fire to government offices and properties in Asaba, the state capital.
He further appealed to parents and guardians to ensure that their children and wards were properly accounted for.
