The Encourage Science Initiative is excited to announce its 2024 essay competition, open to undergraduate students in Nigerian universities studying STEM courses (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). The competition aims to encourage students to think critically about the role of STEM research funding in driving economic growth and development in Nigeria.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be an undergraduate student in a Nigerian university
- Must be studying a STEM course (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
- Essay must not exceed 500 words
Prizes:
- 1st Position: ₦50,000
- 2nd Position: ₦30,000
- 3rd Position: ₦20,000
- All winners will also receive free mentorship from scholars in their field
