A two-day sensitization workshop on the University strategic plan begins on Tuesday March 12, 2013.
The workshop which central theme is Development of a Participatory Strategic Plan for Ekiti State University, Ado – Ekiti will involve several facilitators and speakers ranging from Professors to consultants.
A Statement issued by the Deputy Registrar, Information and Public Relations of the University, Ajibade Olubunmi, indicates that issues such as Mission Statement, core values and the vision of Ekiti State University, agenda setting and critical issues on University Governance will be thrashed out during the workshop.
A lecture titled: "The University in the 21st century:
The Challenges of Relevance in a Rapidly Globalizing World" will be delivered by Professor Olufemi Bamiro. Another paper on key issues in Human Resource Management in a 21st century University will be presented by Prof Ladipo Adamolekun, while the Vice-Chancellor of EKSU, Prof. Oladipo Aina will speak on mission statement, core values and vision of Ekiti State University.
The two-day sensitization workshop broken into eleven sessions will also have a particular one on
"Gender Issues in Higher Education"
Where papers will be presented by Prof. (Mrs) Olabisi Aina and Prof. (Mrs) Yinka Ogunlade.
The venue of the two-day workshop is the University’s 3,000 lecture theatre.
