The Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Prof. Patrick Aina has disclosed that the institution will at its 20th convocation ceremony graduate 6,807.
It was learnt that 19 students will bag First Class during the convocation.
Highlighting some of his achievements since assuming office, the VC said, “Twenty-five new buildings were put up, including new buildings for eight faculty offices. 47 academic programmes were successfully accredited in 2012 by the NUC and relevant professional bodies.
“We resuscitated graduate assistantship programme which had earlier been suspended, accessibility to TETfund funds for the training of our junior academic staff. For instance, over 25 of our junior academic staff are in topnotch overseas universities on various collaborative training programmes leading to Ph.D.”
