The Governor of Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has disclosed that academic activities will begin in the four model schools under construction in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, at the beginning of next session. According to him, the contractors were expected to deliver the four schools named after prominent Ekiti leaders – Banji Akintoye, David Oke, Deji Fasuan and the late Ayo Fasanmi – at the end of this month.
The governor added that the four schools are meant to decongest some secondary schools around and within Ado Ekiti, the state capital, as well as open up the areas for urban development.
“Work on the model schools, which are expected to be delivered by the end of September, has reached significant levels of completion and the contractors are working hard to meet project deadline,” he said.
