Edo State University, Uzairue (Edo University) academic calendar for 2023/2024 academic session is out. The academic calendar is for fresh and returning students, parents and guardians as well as prospective students who will be applying for Edo University in the next academic session.
The table below which contains all activities set for the academic session which includes both academic and non-academic activities. Edo University academic calendar is a summary of the first and second semester (1 academic session).
As seen in the table, the following have been scheduled for the session;
- Resumption of students
- Registration exercise for both first and second semester.
- Resumption of lectures and ending date of lectures
- Examination and vacation

17/10/2021 – Returning Students come into Halls of Residence for 1st Semester 2023/2024 Academic Session
18/10/2021 – 29/10/2021 – Commencement of Course Registration for returning students 1st Semester 2023/2024 Academic Session
20/10/2021 – 1st Semester Lectures begin for Returning Students
1/11/2021 – Late Course Registration. The sum of N5000 fine will be Paid for each additional week. Late Registration end on the 6th Week.
03/11/2021 – 04/11/2021 – 3rd Convocation Lecture/Ceremony
07/11/2021 – New Students come into Halls of Residence for 2023/2024 Academic Session
8/11/2021 – 18/11/2021 – Screening and Registration commences for new Students
10/11/2021 – Lectures begins for 1stSemester for new students
18/11/2021 – Late Course Registration. The sum of N5000 fine will be paid for each additional week. Late Registration end on the 6th week
17/12/2021 – 09/01/2022 – Christmas break (4 Weeks)
09/01/2022 – All students return to campus after Christmas break
10/01/2022 – 1st Semester Lectures continues after Christmas break
30/01/2022 – Orientation for New students.
11/02/2022 – Matriculation of New Students
23/03/2022 – 6th Founder Day Celebration
25/03/2022 – End of 1st Semester lectures for 2023/2024 Academic Session. (12 weeks).
29/03/2022 – 01/04/2022 – Revision (1 week).
02/04/2022 – General Studies Examinations (GST).
04/04/2022 – 1st Semester Examinations begin in all Faculties
15/04/2022 – 1st Semester Examinations ends.
16/04/2022 – Students go home for 1stSemester break (3 weeks).
2ND SEMESTER 2023/2024 ACADEMIC CALENDAR (15 WEEKS)
07/05/2022 – Students come into Hall of Residence for 2nd Semester 2023/2024 Academic Session.
09/05/2022 – 13/05/2022 – Course Registration for 2nd Semester 2023/2024
11/05/2022 – 2nd Semester lectures begin for 2023/2024 Academic Session.

05/08/2022 – 2nd Semester Lectures ends (12 weeks)
08/08/2022 – 12/08/2022 – Revision (1 week).
13/08/2022 – General Studies Examinations.
15/08/2022 – 2nd Semester Examinations begin for all Faculties.
02/09/2022 – End of 2nd Semester Examinations 2023/2024 Academic Session.
03/09/2022 – Students go home for end of session 2023/2024 (Long vacation Break)
12/09/2022 – 23/09/2022 – Departments/Faculty Boards of Studies meet to Consider 2023/2024 Academic Session Results
26/09/2022 – 30/09/2022 – Senate meets to consider 2023/2024 Academic Session Results
15/10/2022 – New students come into Residence for 2023/2024 Academic Session.
