The management of Edo University Iyamho has announced November 16 as the resumption date for a new academic session. This was disclosed by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Emmanuel Aluyor, in a statement.

According to him, the school had concluded its 2019/2020 academic session virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Vice-Chancellor noted that the completion of the 2019/2020 academic session online was in line with the University’s calendar which was hinged on the acquisition and utilisation of the Canvas-Learning Management System.

He said, “Edo University Iyamho is among the very few Universities in the world where academic activities did not shut down due to the Coronavirus pandemic and this is in the belief that the University is set up to finding solutions to new challenges.”

The Registrar of the University, Dr Isoken Ogboro, said the school was ready to resume but would not hesitate to continue its academic activities virtually if there is a spike in the COVID-19 cases.
