EDEPOLY Receives approval from NBTE to run Distance Learning Programme

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has granted approval to the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State, to commence Open and Distance Learning (ODL) progranmes. This was made known by the Rector of the institution Dr John Taiwo Adekolawole, in a statement made available by the public relations officer of the polytechnic, Mr Sola Lawal.

He equally disclosed that the approval was contained in a letter by the executive secretary of NBTE, Dr. Mas’ud Kazaure, to the polytechnic informing it of the approval and details.

He stated that the approval was limited to accredited programmes run by the polytechnic and must also be in strict compliance with the national Technical and Vocational Education policy and strategy on ODL.

With this development, the polytechnic is expected to develop an interactive online platform for the new learning mode with the necessary tools and resources that would support and enhance the delivery and management, as well as having 24/7 student support package. The practical and examination sessions would be on face-to-face traditional mode of learning.
