This scholarship was founded in 2010 in honor of the exceptional contributions international scholars make to Duke University, thanks to a generous donation from Martha L. and Bruce A. Karsh. It is intended for international students who demonstrate financial need and who promote interdisciplinary inquiry, academic research, and scholarship in the service of society.

Scholarship Benefits: The scholarship covers tuition, room and board, mandatory fees, demonstrated need that exceeds those costs, and three summers of funding for research, unpaid internships, and other opportunities that will advance your academic career.
Eligibility: Students must be international students who are not US citizens or dual citizens of US/another country. They must not have already obtained a B.A. or B.S. degree prior to their studies at Duke University. They must have strong academic preparation and documented need for financial aid.
