Don't Scrap PPT Yet - Group tells JAMB

A group recognized as the Exam Ethics International, on Tuesday called on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, not to scrap the Paper Pencil Test (PPT) mode of examination by next years at it has intended to do, in the interest of the candidates.

According to the chairman of the organisation, Ike Onyechere JAMB should consider well the direct effect of such move before implementing it, saying that many candidates would be disenfranchised in the planned winding down of the PPT mode of examination by 2015.

He further stated that the country presently has infrastructural, electricity and skill challenges that may likely hinder the smooth adoption of the Computer Based Test (CBT) if it is introduced by next year, and called on JAMB to reconsider the plan and extend the planned scrapping of PPT mode of Examination, saying JAMB should not introduce a policy that would not be beneficial to majority.
