A cleric, Venerable Kayode Odusola, has advised parents not to abdicate their responsibilities to their children. He spoke on Thursday at the African Church Model College, Ifako, Lagos.
He stated that children needed parental guidance as they seek admission to different higher institutions. The cleric added, "Parents should not abandon these pupils thinking that they are adults.
They must follow up on them, by advising them regularly so that they won't be misled in life." The school Principal, Mr. Olanrewaju Ogunkola, also urged them to seek loftier things of life.
He said, "The spiritual and academic baptism you have received here should serve as a guardian angel to you. It is now for you to identify what you want to be."
