DELSU workers accuse the dean of engineering of embezzling students' dues

The Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Delta State University, Oleh campus, Emmanuel Ubeku, is said to be currently mixed up in a financial scandal over the misappropriation of dues collected from students of the institution.

It is alleged that the dean misappropriated the sum of N1,357,465.00, collected from students as dues for 2019/2020 academic session, with the help of the campus auditor, Kingsley Aliagwu, who covered up the misappropriation.

University workers who spoke on the alleged misappropriation alleged that the dean, the institution's auditor, and a few other staff members are all part of a group that specializes in the alleged manipulation of financial records and embezzlement of funds. 

It was also alleged that the dean's financial recklessness had been reported severally to the office of the vice-chancellor in Abraka and that directives were given to him to give a proper account of all the dues collected from students, but he was yet to do that.
