DELSU special notice to students on resumption

DELSU special notice to students on resumption

The university administration formerly welcomes all students who have now settled down to academic work after the six months long break imposed by the coronavirus pandemic. We are grateful to God that all have survived the scourge of covid19 but we must remain focused and vigilant not to allow a spike of disease in Delta State University.

The university administration notes that the students are complying with the phased resumption and the full implementation of DELSU COVID19 preventive strategies including wearing of face masks, frequent hand washing, social distancing and the payment of the negotiated COVID19 facilities upgrade change. The university is committed to ensuring that facilities continue to improve and the environment is conducive for teaching, learning and research.

Delta State University has an enviable record of unbroken stable academic calendar, management commends all students for their peaceful conduct and for continuing to respect their matriculation oath of allegiance to the vice chancellor and administration of the University. They should therefore ignore and resist attempt by diabolical outside forces who want to destabilize the University, force a closure of the University and prevent final year students from graduating within the next few weeks. Let us remain united in love and peace to shrug off and shame these outside interest who do not mean well for Delta State University. The university administration has alerted security agents.

Students should therefore go about their normal activities. It must be emphasized that in line with the university rules, only duly revalidated and registered students shall be eligible to take part in the second semester examination.
