Covenant University Wins N75 Million JAMB Compliance Prize

Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, was named the best in terms of adherence to the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) policy requirements at the 2020 JAMB National Tertiary Admissions’ Performance-Merit Award (NATAP-M Award).

The ceremony took place on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, during the admission policy meeting presided over by Adamu Adamu, the Education Minister.

The Registrar of the JAMB, Professor Is-haq O. Oloyede, OFR, awarded Covenant University a cash prize of Seventy-Five Million Naira (N75,000,000:00) and a certificate of award as the most compliant school in keeping with the Admissions Guidelines of the 2020/2021 Admission Exercise.

Professor Oloyede stated that the present total cash prize of N500 million will be increased to N750 million in the next edition of the awards to accommodate multiple categories for universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.

In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abiodun H. Adebayo, who accepted the award on behalf of the University, thanked the Chancellor and Chairman of the Board of Regents, Dr. David O. Oyedepo, for his outstanding leadership and support of the University.

He stated that the University administration was overjoyed with the prize, stressing that it was the Lord’s doing and that all glory should be returned to Him.
