Hasfat Dahiru Mangal, daughter of the owner of Maxair Airline Alhaji Dahiru Mangal, who was expelled from Bayero University Kano on the January 14, 2011 for exam malpractice has been recalled as a bonafide student of the institution.
This followed a court ruling presided over by Justice Fatun Riman of the Federal High Court Kano, which declared Hasfat’s expulsion from the school as null and void and consequently ordered her reinstatement as a bonafide undergraduate of the school.
In her evidence during the court session, Hasfat denied any involvement in exam malpractice as levied against her.
According to Justice Fatun Riman, Hasfat was not granted fair hearing before her expulsion and ordered her reinstatement as an undergraduate English student of the institution without any loss of rights and privileges.
What do you think about this? Was the court fair enough in their judgement or were they lopsided; considering that the girl’s father is obviously a billionaire?
