Truth, as asserted by Dr. D.K Olukoya, is the most sacrosanct phenomenon in the world. How time flies! …Just like yesterday that I informed the public that the President of ASUU, Dr. Nasir Isa Fagge has two of his children schooling in Malaysian Universities.
Then, I was vilified. Then, there was rumbling. The social media went up in intellectual flames. Many called me a liar. I was tongue-lashed. Adeyinka, the son of Gbadebo was bashed by many self-acclaimed human rights activists. I was told to buttress my claim with proof or shut down my canoe. I was dared to come out with names, schools and data of the said glorious, great and responsible children of Dr. Nasir Isa, the son of Fagge.
Meanwhile, I wanted to do as demanded then by the inquisitive Nigerians but my mentors instructed me that I should hold on. Then, government and ASUU were in the last phase of their negotiation. I was told that releasing such information at that period would heat-up the negotiation and polity. I was cautioned by the security agencies that making such information known to the public at that period would be counter-productive.
More also, on the day ASUU members officially suspended their six months strike action, I wanted to explode the information but our board of advisers said I should soft-pedal for a while. As an obedient servant, I agreed.
However, compatriots and women, now that the six months strike is over, it is very necessary and germane that I let the public know that I didn’t lie or blackmail Fagge. Oga Fagge actually denied that any of his children were in Malaysian Universities simply because they are not using their popular grandfather’s name (Fagge), but that of his personal names (Nasir Isa); Chikena!
Without much ado, the names and other information on the children of Dr. Fagge in Malaysia go thus:
(1) Ismail Nasir Isa, Universities Teknologi, Malaysia. 81310, UTM, Skudai, Johor. Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering.
(2) Abdulhamid Nasir Isa. Universiti Sains Malaysia Minder.
The one in Nigeria is in one of the best private colleges in Nigeria. His names are Hafsat Nasir Isa, Turkish International College, Kano.
Succinctly, for the sake of clarity and for the records, let me state unequivocally that I have nothing against the children of Dr. Nasir Isa Fagge. I wish them the very best of luck but I need to do this for the sake of posterity.
Conclusively, dear students, note that as I write, none of the said children of Dr. Nasir Isa Fagge in ABU and KSUST has come out-either in the print or on social media to call me a liar. We don’t even know their names. The MTN number posted on social media two weeks ago and credited to that of Dr. Nasir’s son in KSUST has been non-reachable since it was made known to the public. I doubt if there’s any Nigerian undergraduate without a Facebook account. Can’t they come out? While giving the damage control work to be done by food-is-ready and Oluwole Facebook activists?
