Corona students win $2 million scholarships

Some students of Corona secondary school, Agbara, Ogun state have won themselves $2 million worth of scholarship grants after performing excellently in various competitions. 

A statement released by the school management disclosed that the school prefect, Jay Esemudje received the Council of British International School (COBIS) award, and is said to be the first student in Africa to win the Association of International School Award (AISA) with a scholarship grant of over $600,000.

Other COBIS awardees are, Tamara Akika and Kenechukwu Ozoemene. Oyindoubra Akika emerged as the overall winner of the National History Award (NHA), in Nigeria, followed by Toluwanimi Sonuga who also got the NHA award. 

The school principal, Mrs. Chinedum Oluwadamilola during the award presentation ceremony, commended the students for making the school proud with their diligence and commitment to success.
