Cross River State College of Nursing, Midwifery and Public Health Sciences, Itigidi, announces an invitation for applications from prospective students seeking admission for the 2023/2024 academic session. The institution welcomes eligible candidates interested in Basic, ND/HND, and BSc Nursing programmes.
Available Programmes and Duration
The College offers several programmes of varying durations:
- Basic Nursing and Midwifery Programs – 2 years each
- Post Basic Nursing and Midwifery Programs – 3 years each
- ND Nursing Program – 3 years
- HND Nursing Program – 4 years
- BSc Nursing Program – 5 years
- MSc and PhD Programs – Duration varies
Admission Requirements
To be considered for admission, candidates must meet certain prerequisites. These include obtaining a minimum of three to five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics from WAEC, GCE, NECO, or NABTEB O’ level, with not more than two to three sittings. Additionally, prospective students must be at least 17 years old.
For those applying to the BSc Nursing programme, having taken the JAMB exam in 2023 with relevant scores may confer an advantage. However, this stipulation does not apply to Direct Entry students.
Application and Payment Details
Candidates interested in applying should note that the application involves a non-refundable fee of N10,000 and a processing fee of N5,000, amounting to a total of N15,000. The fees should be paid into the College’s utility account in OPAY Bank, with the Account Name as College Nursing Itigidi and Account No as 9037455747. Applicants are encouraged to safely keep evidence of payment, which should be presented during the Screening/Verification stage.

Application Submission and Registration
After successful payment, applicants should proceed to the College portal to validate their transaction. Successful validation will allow access to the registration page, where candidates should input their information correctly, review, and submit. Candidates are advised to print and keep their registration slip, as it, along with payment receipt and photocopies of relevant credentials, will be required during Screening/Verification.
Date for Post-UTME/Aptitude Test
The Post-UTME/Aptitude Test has been scheduled to hold from the 5th to the 9th of June, 2023, and will be in a CBT format.
