The Commandant, Command Secondary School, Suleja, Col. Shuaibu Ibrahim, has advised outgoing pupils of the institution to be worthy ambassadors.
Speaking at the School’s fifth prize-giving and graduation ceremony, Ibrahim also urged them to emulate their predecessors by shunning all acts that could destroy their future.
He said, “May I seize this opportunity to implore all the pupils, especially the ones we are celebrating this day, to keep their academic performance high in their future educational quests, by maintaining track records that would prove their being worthy ambassadors of CSS, Suleja.”
The highlight of the event was the presentation of prizes to pupils that won individual honours for the school.
Chukwudi Cynthia was the best Biology pupil in the Niger State 2012 Science Olympia while Ugbaha Ogakwu won bronze in the junior Mathematics category.
Despite the achievements, Ibrahim lamented that the school had challenges.
Stressing the need for an urgent upgrading of the school’s hostels and classrooms, he appealed to the Army Superior Authorities, Nigerian Army Education Corps and Parents’ Teachers Association to come to the aid of the school.
“As you can see for yourselves, the school has good prospect for development. This, once again, we cannot completely achieve without your continuous commitment to see us through, both morally, financially and otherwise,” he added.
