The Rector of the Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke, Dr. Samson Adegoke, is celebrating his escape from an assassination attempt on his life.
Adegoke and his driver were said to have been attacked on Monday, January 9, by suspected assassins shortly after he had left the school located at Esa Oke for Ilesa town around past 4 pm.
The assassins who were riding in a Toyota Camry reportedly opened fire on his vehicle leaving it badly damaged, while the occupants escaped unhurt.
Osun Police Command Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, who confirmed the attack, said the Command has already commenced an investigation into it.
