Management at its emergency meeting held on Monday, August 16, 2021 reviewed the incident of students protest arising from the Town Hall meeting the Provost and his Management team had with them. Management noted that the decision to finally close the portal for the 2019/2020 academic session after several months of official and unofficial extensions, was in the best interest of the College.
In the light of the above, Management upheld its earlier decision and the decision of Academic Board to close the portal for the 2019/2020 academic session. For avoidance of doubts, the decisions were:
(I)All Heads of Departments should advise the affected students in their departments who paid fees after the portal was closed whether or not they had written examinations to apply for suspension of studies through their Heads of Departments and Deans to reach the Registrar before September 1, 2021
(II) Any student who fails, neglect or refuse to submit his or her application for suspension of studies to the Registrar before September 1, 2021 should consider himself/herself as having voluntarily withdrawn from the College.
(III) There has been a window to allow those students who paid their fees before the closure of portal but could not register to do so.
Management decision is hereby conveyed to those concerned to note for strict compliance in their interest
