The College of Education, Warri in Affiliation with the University of Benin, Benin City is currently admitting students for 2022/2023 Academic Session for Direct Entry (DE) only.

COURSES AVAILABLE
:
1)     B.Sc Ed. Computer Science,
2)     BA. Ed English and Literature
3)     BSc. Ed Educational Management
4)     BEd Adult Education

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Prospective candidates are to pay the non-refundable fee of Two Thousand Naira (₦2,000.00) at the designated Zenith bank Account and present teller to obtain the Application pin from the College Bursary. Candidates should then visit the College website https://coewarri.com/application/?p=/application/new/

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:
 Full Time Degree Programme (Direct Entry Only)
B.ED., ADULT EDUCATION 

a).  At least 2 merit level passes in relevant subjects in the NCE and 3 O’ Level Credit Level obtained in not more than one sitting. The ‘Ö’ level credit passes should include English Language.
b).  At least 3 merit level passes in relevant subjects in the NCE and 2 O’ Level Credit Level passes obtained in not more than one sitting. The ‘O’ level credit passes should include English Language.
c).  At least two Advanced level passes in relevant subjects at the GCE ‘A’ Level,  HSC or of any other recognized equivalents and at least five Ordinary level Credit level passes obtained in no more than two (3) sittings.  The subjects should include English Language and Fine Arts, History or Government, Religious Studies, and Mathematics and other subjects relevant to the course of study.
d).  At least a merit pass in Diploma in the following: Adult Education and Community Development, Social Works (DSW), Theatre Arts (DTA), Physical Education (DPE), Health Education (DHE), Public Administration (DPA), Mathematics Education (DME), Agricultural Economics (DAE), Fisheries Forestry and wild life Management (DFFN), Agricultural Extension and Cooperatives (DAEC), and at least 3 O’ Level credit passes obtained at one sitting.  The subject should include English Language.

BSC. (ED), COMPUTER SCIENCE
3-Year Programme (Direct Entry)
a).  At least 2 merit level passes in relevant subjects in the NCE and 3 O’ Level Credit Level obtained in not more than one sitting. The ‘Ö’ level credit passes should include English Language, Mathematics and other subjects relevant to the course of study.
b).  At least two Advanced level passes in relevant subjects at the GCE ‘A’ Level,  HSC or of any other recognized equivalents and at least five Ordinary level Credit level passes obtained in no more than two (3) sittings.  The subjects should include English Language and Mathematics and other subjects relevant to the course of study.
c).  At least a Merit level pass in Diploma in relevant courses from recognised institutions and at least five credit level passes in (WASC /SSC /GCE /NECO /NEC / NABTEB / Teacher grade Two Certificates (TC II) or any other recognized equivalents obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.  The subject should include English Language and Mathematics

B. ED. EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT
a).  At least 3 merit level passes in relevant subjects in NCE  and 3 ‘O’ Level Credit passes obtained in not more than one sitting. The  ’O’ level credit passes should be English Language and  Mathematics and other subjects relevant to the course of study.
b).  At least two ‘A’ level passes in relevant subjects GCE, HSC or of any other recognized equivalents and at least 5 ‘O’ level Credit passes obtained in no more than two (3) sittings.  The subjects should include English Language, History or Government, Religious Studies, and Mathematics and other subjects relevant to the course of study.
c).  At least a Credit level pass in Diploma in Banking and Finance, Accounting and Urban and Regional Planning or at least upper credit level pass from other recognized institutions.  And at least five credit ‘O’ level passes obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.  The subject should include English Language and Mathematics.

BA (ED) ENGLISH AND LITERATURE
a).  At least 3 merit level passes in relevant subjects at NCE) and 3 ‘O’ Level Credit passes obtained in not more than one sitting; one of the “O” level credits should be English Language.
b).  At least 2 ‘A’ level passes in relevant subjects at the GCE, HSC or any recognized equivalents and at least 5 ‘O’ Level Credit passes obtained in not more than 2 sittings.  The subjects should include English Language and Literature, History or Government, Religious Studies, and any other Arts subject.
c).  At least a Credit level pass in Diploma in English, French, History International Relations from the University of Benin or at least a credit level pass from other recognized Universities and at least 5 ‘O’ level credit passes in obtained at not more than two sittings.  The subjects should include English language and Literature, History or Government, Religious Studies and any other Arts subject.
