College of Education, Ekiadolor Upgraded to University of Education:
Edo State House of Assembly Thursday passed into law a bill establishing the Edo State University of Education Ekiadolor thereby repealing the law establishing the College of Education Ekiadolor which was passed in 1988 pending the State Governor assent.

Parliament while considering the 66 section bill amended some sections of the bill while others were adopted. Some sections of the law deals with the composition of the University, comprising the chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, Bursar, Librarian Registrar staff and students while sections 9 and 10 spells out the functions of the vice-chancellor and the Registrar.
