A 19-year-old Senior Secondary School student was killed while others were injured during a midnight attack on Angwar Umadi village in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
Reports gathered that the student was shot at close range by the suspected rustlers when he was said to have gone out to ease himself.
Others were reportedly shot or attacked with weapons while trying to escape the invasion.
One of the villagers, Isaiah Baga, who narrated what happened to newsmen, explained that the rustlers, numbering about 40, arrived the village about midnight and operated for about one hour. “We have reported the latest attack to the authorities but we are yet to hear from them,” he added.
