What appeared to be a melodrama at the weekend reared its ugly head when a WAEC/NECO exam student, identified as Julius (surname withheld) in Asaba, Delta State, who solely depended on passing his exams via miracle centres, allegedly poisoned the exam syndicate who was said to have introduced him to the miracle centre.

Reports said that Julius, a dropout from one of the popular secondary schools in Asaba (name withheld), in his quest to make his school certificate and become a graduate, was said to have been introduced to the operators of the miracle centre who allegedly gave him a bill of N80,000 for both exams with 100 per cent assurance.

But this was not to be when Julius who had reportedly lost both parents and has been living with an uncle, after selling off some of the properties to pay the bills, had the two results in F9s.

It was further gathered that in the wake of the exams, the miracle centre operator who was alleged to be a ‘friend of the police, following his illicit and involvement in various crimes, was said to have enrolled over 60 candidates from Asaba and its environs from where the state government through the task force on examination malpractices as well as miracle centres, descended on him before he ran to Benin City.
