The management of Bayero University Kano gives priority to both 100 level and final year students before students in 200 level, 300 level or 400 level as the case may be, will be considered. The Bayero University Kano hostel accommodation for students is conducive for students. Though BUK hostel accommodation fee varies from hostel to hostel. I will list the hostel fees below so it is up to you to decide if you are going to be interested in making use of the school hostel or renting an a room outside the BUK campus. Please note that hostel accommodation in BUK is not compulsory. However, it is advised that fresh students especially stay within the school campus at least in their first year.

BUK Hostel Accommodation Fee 2024/2025 Academic Session
Below is the hostel accommodation fee for all hostels in BUK. The hostel accommodation is for both fresh and returning students for 2024/2025 academic session.
- For Fresh and Retunrning Students – N20,090.00 only
- For Students Collecting only Bed Space without Mattress – N12,090.00 only.

How To Apply For BUK Accommodation Fee 2024/2025 Session
On how to apply for BUK hostel accommodation fee, newly admitted students are to follow the steps below:
Step 1 – To apply for BUK hostel accommodation, log-in via- http://mybuk.buk.edu.ng/ug/ for Undergraduate students
Step 2 – Log-in with your students’ details and navigate to the hostel accommodation portal to begin the application process.
Step 3 – Take your payment proof (online slip) to the student affairs division for documentation and hostel allocation.
NOTE:
- Students that require space in any of the reserved halls should submit their payment slip to student affairs.
- BUK bed space allocation will be on ‘FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS’ as hostel accommodation is limited.
