Bowen University notice on the release of arrested students during #EndSars Protest

This is to officially notify Students, that following the compassionate request for the intervention of the University on the arrest of GEE-Clothing, Tobi and King Tesh during the nationwide ENDSARS agitation, the Management of the University responded by sending a delegate to Abeokuta, Ogun State. The delegate comprised of Lawyers and key stakeholders.

The delegate received the information of their release following the intervention of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). The delegate then proceeded to the NYSC office in Ogun State and Lagos to confirm the authenticity of the claim. Truly, GEE-Clothing, Tobi and King Tesh (popularly so known) have regained their freedom and are recuperating in their respective homes.

The University has also received news of the arrest of Miss Treasure Nduka, who is currently enrolled in the Nigeria Law School. Another delegate has been raised to action her release, following information from students.

While Management of the University is committed to the wellbeing of Bowenites, who are key stakeholders, Bowenites are advised to kindly eschew situations that expose them to arrests, violence, attack or fatality.

Signed.
