Who Can Apply? The Eligibility Criteria

To get started on your academic journey at BMU, candidates must have:

  • Applied for admission into BMU, Yenagoa, as their institution of first choice, or be willing to change their institution through JAMB Change of Course or Institution and make BMU their first choice.
  • Scored 140 and above in the 2023 UTME examination, except for certain courses which require a higher cut-off mark. Check the BMU Cut-off marks breakdown for more details.
  • Hold relevant certificates such as B.Sc/HND/ND/NCE/A’Level (IJMB, JUPEB and Institute of Baccalaureate). These candidates may be considered for Direct Entry.
  • Accumulated at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/NECO/NABTEB in the relevant subjects at not more than two sittings. Candidates should also upload their O’Level results to the JAMB CAPS portal as a pre-condition for admission.

Applying for the Bayelsa Medical University Post UTME Form
