Following the approval of Three (3) Post Basic Nursing specialty programmes by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi, the Management of the Department of Post Basic Nursing Programmes, BSUTH Campus, Makurdi wish to inform the general public that, it has commenced the Sale of Admission Forms for the 2024/2025 Academic Sessions into the following Post Basic Nursing Programmes:

  • 1. MENTAL AND PSYCHIATRIC NURSING - 18 MONTHS
  • 2. NEPHROLOGY NURSING - 12 MONTHS
  • 3. OPHTHALMIC NURSING - 12 MONTHS

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. A Registered Nurse (RN) Certificate with current practicing license.

2. Five (5) Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Chemistry from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB obtained in not more than two (2) sittings. A combination of WAEC and NECO is acceptable.

3. Have at least one (1) year Post Qualification experience.

4. Have approval for Release by his/her Employer for the Full-Time requirement of the Course.
