The Pro-Chancellor of the Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State, Dr. Bode Ayorinde, has urged fresh students of the university to be of good behaviour.
He spoke during the institution’s seventh matriculation. It admitted no fewer than 543 students.
Urging the students to be of good behaviour, the pro-chancellor noted that the six-year-old university would not sacrifice discipline for anything else.
He, therefore, warned that the management would not hesitate to sanction any of the errant students.
The institution’s Vice- Chancellor, Prof. Adebayo Adebiyi, promised that the university would continue to produce morally sound, properly-educated and entrepreneurially-oriented persons who would be useful to the society.
According to him, the story of the institution has been that of steady growth and development by all measurable indices.
He said, “I am therefore indeed excited by this year’s matriculation, being the seventh. The number ‘seven’ connotes perfection in the spiritual realm and as a Christian, these signs of development have reinforced my belief that this session is going to be a year of laudable things for the university.
“We will provide you with a serene and conducive environment to learn and develop your talents, quality education, dedicated staff and state of the art equipment to support your academic growth and development.
