Baze University warns prospective students and parents against fraudsters

Baze University Abuja, has distanced itself from the activities of individuals parading as agents of the school and demanding payment for admission into personal accounts.

A statement signed by the Registrar of the University, Dr Ibrahim Mani, said the school has not authorized any individual to engage in any financial discussion with prospective candidates.

The University also warned prospective candidates to be cautious, so as not to fall into the hands of fraudsters as the University will not be held liable for any loss.

The statement said “We have received reports of fraudulent activities where individuals are posing as agents of the University and demanding payments into personal accounts. Please note that Baze University does not authorise any individual or agent to demand payment for admission or any related fees into personal accounts.

“We strongly advise candidates to be cautious of any individual or agent making offers that seem too good to be true. Baze University will not be held liable for any financial loss or damages incurred as a result of dealing with unauthorised individuals or agents.

“We urge everyone to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.”

The school further stated that all payments to the University should be made through the official payment portal of the school.

“Baze University wishes to inform the general public and prospective candidates that all payments for tuition, and related fees should be made via the University’s official payment portal only, which can be accessed at https://portal.bazeuniversity.edu.ng/payment,” The statement added.
