Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, has appointed Prof. Ayibaye Efere as the acting Rector of the state’s Institute of Tourism, Catering and Hotel Management.
A statement on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Daniel Iworiso-Markson, quoted Dickson as saying that the appointment followed the formal passage and signing into law of the bill establishing the institute.
Efere holds two doctorate degrees in Health Services Management and Education from two Central American universities.
Until his appointment, Efere was a member of the state Diaspora Mobilization and Contact Committee.
The statement added that the appointment took immediate effect.
