Bauchi Philanthropist Pays the Tuition of 300 Bauchi Students

Alhaji Muttaqa Duguri, a philanthropist in Bauchi State, has reportedly paid tuition fees of not fewer than 300 students in the state.

Confirming the reports on Tuesday, 27 October, the philanthropist said his decision on paying the tuition and registration fees of the indigent students, was to promote education in the state, and was informed by the importance he attached to education.

Although the total sum involved in the payment of the fees was not mentioned, Duguri stated that 100 students were each carefully selected from the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, the Federal Polytechnic and the state-owned Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, all in Bauchi to make up the 300 beneficiaries.

He further urged beneficiaries to make judicious use of the opportunity by studying hard to justify the investment made on them.
