Babcock University 2015/2016 Admission Procedure

This is to inform 2015/2015 aspirants of Babcock University that the institution has announced the admission procedure for 2015/2016 academic session.

GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum qualification for the First Degree Programs: 5 credits at the GCE/SSCE/NECO Examinations or their equivalent (at not more than 2 sittings); one sitting only for Medicine & Surgery. Candidates below 16 years of age are advised not to apply.

CANDIDATES AWAITING 2015 WAEC/NECO SSCE RESULTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PRESENT ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS BEFORE MATRICULATION.

All candidates who APPLY DIRECTLY to Babcock University are REQUIRED to sit for the current JAMB examination (for 100 Level) or apply for JAMB Direct Entry admissions (for Direct Entry). Candidates who apply for Transfer Admissions need to present JAMB Admission letter and transcript from their previous University. No candidate shall be admitted to Babcock University without Babcock University POST-UTME.

Requirements: 5 credits in GCE/SSCE/NECO including English Language, History/Government and any other 3 subjects.

Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Literature in English and any other three subjects. For French/Diplomatic Studies, the other three credits must include French and Government/History.

Direct Entry to 200 Level: in addition to the 5 credits at O’Level, a direct entry candidate must possess: (a) three requisite papers at HSC or GCE A’Level or; (b) OND or HND in appropriate/relevant areas, and preferably at Upper Credit Level.

SCHOOL OF NURSING SCIENCE

Department of Nursing Science
Degree Offered: BNSc. (Hons.) Nursing Science
Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Direct Entry: For Direct Entry students, a candidate is required to: (1) be a Registered Nurse (RN) with the N&MCN. In addition, possession of at least one post-RN certificate e.g. Registered Midwife (RM), Registered Public Health Nurse (RPHN) and Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) would be an advantage. (2) Possess satisfactory result at the SSCE or its equivalent in five subjects at not more than two sittings, which must include English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. (3) Submit official transcript of all the nursing programs to be used for the admission. (4) Submit current license from the N&MCN at least 6-9 months expiry duration. (5) Produce letter of reference from three people which may include the current employer.

2015/2016 Admissions Procedure: PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY:

STEP 1. All intending applicants are to visit http://application.babcock.edu.ng to begin.

STEP 2: Select undergraduate application, and create an account.

STEP 3: Complete the application form providing all the required information and upload your passport photograph

STEP 4. Submit the completed application form.

STEP 5: Payment process for the application form can be made via any of the payment channels provided. Payment channels available are categorized into:

ONLINE

1. This includes payment through Webpay (Local bank debit and credit cards which are valid and authorized for internet transactions) as well as Pocket Moni and Mobile wallets.
2. Internet Banking: Payments can also be made via the internet banking platform of some selected banks.

BANK BRANCH

Payments can also be made at selected bank branches Nationwide, via selected payment gateways and channels. The payment gateways and channels provided are summarized below:

1. REMITA: If Remita is chosen as an option for bank branch payment, a Remita number known as Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) is provided on the application form and the list of designated bank branches (and address) where payment for Babcock University Application form can be made is listed. Proceed to any of the designated bank branch, present the RRR code and stipulated cash amount to the teller and upon successful completion, the bank issues a REMITA generated receipt to the applicant.

2. E-Tranzact: If E-Tranzact is chosen as an option for bank branch payment, applicants are to proceed to the bank with the stipulated cash amount and Application ID which is provided on the application form and request for Babcock University Application form payment via E-Tranzact.

STEP 6. Print a copy of your Application summary page. Bring your original credentials (O’Level results and Birth Certificate) to the Post UTME exam center for screening on the date selected.

STEP 7. Visit the application portal for application updates.
