Corps members have been warned against unauthorised journeys and late night movements during their service year. The Director General Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim gave the warning today while addressing the 2020 Batch "B" stream 1A Corps members in Zamfara and kaduna state orientation camps. He said their parents have made huge investments in their education and up bringing stressing that they should avoid anything that could endanger their lives
"Don't endanger yourselves. Always be conscious of your security and please avoid traveling in unregistered vehicles and instead go to government approved motor park". He said. Ibrahim also urged the corps members to emulate their colleagues of the 2020 Batch "A" set who contributed to the first fight against COVID-19 by producing and donating hand sanitizers facemasks liquid soaps and disinfection chambers among other things.
He enjoined them to use social media to promote the integration of National unity and refrain from spreading fake news, hate speech, and tribal sentiments. The Director General encourage the corps members to avail themselves of the 75Billion Naira Nigerian Youth Investment Fund, the National Young farmers scheme and other programmes of the federal government which are aimed at empowering the youth for self-employment and wealth creation.
The Director General advised the corps members to study the felt needs of their host communities and execute a project that will improve their living standard, render the best service to the country and make a difference. Do not engage in the consumption of hard drugs cybercrime protest and others illegal activities." Ibrahim added.
