The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, will at its 23rd to 25th convocation ceremony scheduled for May 12th, 2018 graduate a total of 8,495 students.
This was disclosed by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Saminu Abdurahman Ibrahim, during a press briefing at the Gubi Campus of the University, in Bauchi, on Thursday, on the activities of the combined convocation ceremony.
According to him, 480 of the graduates are for National Diplomas, 5,637 for first degrees, 1,580 for PGD, 770 for Masters and 90 for PhDs.
Among the 5,637 first degree graduands, 118 obtained First Class, 1,618 got Second Class Upper Division, 2.609 for Second Class Lower Division, 1,431 got Third Class and 61 got Pass.
The Convocation Lecture titled “Enhancing Industry University Collaboration to support Nigeria Local Content in industrialization and Economic Growth” would hold on Friday, May 11 and will be delivered by the General Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Dr Maikanti Kachalla Baru at Yelwa campus of the institution.
