ASUU threatens strike action if FG fails to sign renegotiated agreement

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has disclosed that there is a possibility of another strike action by the end of this month if the federal government fails to sign draft renegotiated agreement of May, 2021.

This was disclosed by the ASUU national president, Professor Victor Emmanuel at the national executive council meeting of the union in Ilorin. He said the government should be held responsible for the possible industrial disharmony.

He however added that the union hopes the government will urgently sign the agreement to sustain and improve on the current industrial peace on the university campuses.
