ASUU Strike: UNIBEN Lecturers refuse to return to Classrooms

As the ongoing strike has entered its 5th month, students and parents, are anxious and perplexed of what the outcome will be if ASUU/FG refuses to come to an agreement.

As earlier heard, the FG "the President" issued an ultimatum to striking lecturers to resume on or before the 4th of December 2013 which was countered by Asuu who are saying that except their demands are made NO lecturers will be seen in classroom.

News survey in the University of Benin (UNIBEN) reported that on getting to the school, there were no form of teaching going on as class-rooms were empty, and registers were not being signed by any lecturer which shows their unwillingness to resume.

Mr. Ekpen Osaigiede a HOD of. Pol Science UNIBEN, said "the FG needs to meet our demands, not using of force or giving ultimatum, until that is made, no lecturer will b seen in classroom.

The question is: what is the hope of students returning back to school? Feel free to comment.
