ASUU meeting with the federal govt ends in a deadlock

The meeting between the Federal Government delegates and members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) ended in a deadlock on Tuesday, February 22, as the two parties were unable to find a soft landing.

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, had convened the meeting which had in attendance, the President of ASUU, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, alongside other leaders of the union with a view of resolving the lingering crisis between the union and the government.

However, in a tweet posted on the official Twitter page of ASUU, the union revealed that the meeting was inconclusive and negotiations continues.
