The Federal Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has said the demands issued by members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) as conditions for calling off the ongoing industrial action are complicated and not as simple as it appears.
The Minister who spoke to state house correspondents after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, June 15, said despite its complexity, the government is doing everything in its powers to resolve the issue.
He maintained that the Federal Government was concerned about the issues with the lecturers that have grounded activities in public universities for months and will continue to work to find an early resolution to the problem.
