Wike’s Aide Discloses ASUP Strike Would Have Ended Long Ago:

The Special Assistant to the Supervising Minister of Education, Lambert Oparah, has disclosed that the hardline position of leaders of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), is what made the union embark on another strike action which was supposed to have been resolved long ago.

He stated this over the weekend while monitoring the JAMB Computer-based Test in Abuja , adding that the supervising minister of Education, has demonstrated a lot of commitment to end the ASUP Strike, as he did during ASUU’s.

He said, `I personally attended several meetings initiated by the minister with ASUP representatives where he laid the cards on the table and urged the union to accept the offers made by government and end the strike.”
