National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) recently granted an approval to run Diploma in community Health Technology and Diploma in Public Health Technology at Assam college of Health Sciences and Technology, Kaduna.
Thus far, the two programs alongside others are expected to take center stage in the academic activities of the college.
Entry requirements for the two programs are JAMB, SSCE(NECO/WAEC) with minimum of five credits including English and Mathematics and other three Science subjects (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) are added advantage to the potential candidates, which increases chances of getting succeeded.
Therefore, the NBTE approval broaden the academic base of the college,to the extent that students who graduated from the college can avail themselves of an opportunity to get admitted into the University of their choice through Direct Entry(DE) requirements in the country, because the college has been enlisted on the Portal of the JAMB undisputedly.
DURATION OF THE PROGRAMS
The duration of the program is two years with Industrial Training experience attached.
Diploma in Public Health Technology and Diploma in Community Health Technology program are due for take off in the 2024/2025 academic session . Meanwhile, Higher National Diploma in Public Health Technology (HND) and Higher National Diploma Community Health Technology are also scheduled to commence immediately after the first set of students of the two programs successfully finished the National Diploma.
