The management hereby congratulates all candidates that have seen their names on the admission list.

Upon release of COOU admission list, candidates are always in a haste to confirm if they have been admitted. In this Post I will be putting you through the step-by-step guide on how to check the current COOU admission list for 2024/2025 academic session, what is required for you to confirm if you have been admitted and how to use an alternative means of checking COOU admission list just in case you do not find your name on the admission list uploaded on the COOU portal.

Candidates that scored passed the minimum average score are eligible to check if their names are on the provisional admission list.

COOU admission list checking procedure for 2024/2025 academic session is not different from method used in checking for last session. It is practically same method however, changes like the academic session and the batches in which Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University releases their admission list might be different. The management has indicated that another admission list will be released, you are advised to keep checking, however we shall update you should there be a release of COOU second batch admission list for this academic session (2024/2025)

You can check COOU admission list using two verified methods;

1. COOU Portal
2. JAMB E-facility Website (JAMB CAPS)

Please see below, the two methods you can use in confirming if your name appeared on the COOU admission list.

METHOD 1: COOU PORTAL

How to Check COOU Admission List (All Batches)

Step 1: Go to COOU admission portal at https://portal.coou.edu.ng/prospective_students.

Step 2: Type in your JAMB registration number in the required columns.

Step 3: Click on the Confirm Status button to know if you have been admitted.

Upon being admitted, you are mandated to pay the compulsory acceptance fee else you would lose the provisional admission granted.

METHOD 2 – JAMB CAPS

The process of checking if your name is on COOU admission list via JAMB CAPS is quite an easy one, how ever, some basic requirements are needed before you start this process:

1. Your JAMB registration number must be made available
2. Email Address attached to your JAMB during your online UTME registration
3. Password to the above email address
4. Upon having the above requirements then you can resume the next level which is how to check your admission status using JAMB CAPS

How To Check ANSU/COOU Admission List Using JAMB CAPS

STEP 1:

All candidates are to simply click on the JAMB CAPS portal See below for image on what to see when you click on the above link and insert your email address and password then click on the blue LOGIN button just directly underneath the password box.

STEP 2:

Upon login with your EMAIL and PASSWORD, your dashboard opens (Candidates Dashboard) this contains various menus and selections, here you will see a drop-down menu (Examination Year) just directly under the dashboard, click it and change it to the current year. then click on CHECK UTME/DE ADMISSION STATUS ON CAPS button and change the year of admission you want to confirm (Change to 2024 using the drop-down menu)

STEP 3:

Upon completing Steps 1 and 2, the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) page opens and on the left you will see a list of commands, click on CHECK ADMISSION STATUS link and a page opens for the next line of action.

After clicking on Admission Status, you are to click on it to proceed to the next stage of confirming your admission status on JAMB CAPS.

STEP 4:

After you must have competed Step 3, a page displaying your JAMB registration number is shows, you do not need to input your JAMB registration number any longer, all that is required of you is to click on the CHECK ADMISSION STATUS button and confirm if your name is on the ANSU/COOU admission list.

NOTE

If admission is offered, newly candidate is expected to accept the offer by paying his/her acceptance fees within two weeks from the date of release of the list.
