Anambra school shut down for violating resumption date directives

The Anambra state government has shut down Royal Ambassador Foundation Schools, Onitsha for violating the government's directives on school resumption date following the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

According to a statement released by the Anambra State Ministry of Basic Education Permanent Secretary, Dr Nwando Obiano, the school reportedly allowed its students and pupils to resume on January 18th, 2021, contrary to the government's directive on the resumption of teachers on January 18 and students on 1st February 2021.

The state government accused the school of its blatant disobedient to constituted authority, and advised parents to withdraw their children from the school, as the school's operating license has been revoked.
