The Anambra state government has announced a shift in the resumption of schools in the state earlier slated for January 18 to February 1st, 2021. This according to the government, is to enable school principals and teachers to prepare for the return of students, as the country fights the second wave of COVID-19.
The state governor, Willie Obiano, who made the announcement during a broadcast in the state on Tuesday, January 12, further declared that COVID-19 protocols must be observed by all and sundry in the state to avoid a total shut down of the state.
The governor also banned all forms of gatherings that are more than 50 persons and declared a 'no mask, no movement' policy.
