The Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has appointed Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, as the Chancellor of
Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.
A statement signed by the Spokesman for the university, Mr. Chris Adamaigbo, said governor expressed confidence in the ability of Abubakar to unite the university community by
promoting good working relationship among the management, workers and students.
Abubakar, who is also the Chairman of Niger Council of Traditional Rulers, will be installed at the 18th convocation ceremony of the university on Saturday.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the university has been without a chancellor since 2008 when the council was dissolved by the state government.
