Nuhu was born in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, in northeastern Nigeria. His father Nuhu Poloma is native of Balanga town of Gombe State and his mother Fatima Karderam Digema from Bama local government (LGA) of Borno State. He grew up in Jos, and Kano. After high school education he received a Bachelors of Art degree in Geography from the University of Jos. His National Service was done at Ibadan, Oyo State. One thing led to another, and we got talking. We had an understanding, and two days later I asked the producer of the movie, Yakubu Lere, who is her relative, that I would like to meet her again. He arranged a meeting, and we clicked immediately.
He further disclosed that his wife has been his major support system in the movie industry.
