Akwa Ibom State Government has set September 21, 2020, for the State-owned University, College of Education, and public primary schools to commence resumption of academic activities, while state-owned secondary schools and Polytechnic will resume for full academic activities on September 28 and October 5 respectively.
This was disclosed by the State Commissioner for Information, Comrade Ini Ememobon. He also directed that private schools in the state commence preparations for resumption on September 21, 2020, with the condition of strict compliance with COVID-19 protocol, which must also be reviewed with parents.
He however explained that the primary school’s resumption, is only for the Primary 6 pupils, in preparation for the Common Entrance examination.
