The Governing Council, Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED), Ondo, has approved the appointment of Dr. Samuel Akintunde as the Acting Vice Chancellor of the University.
Prior to his appointment, Dr. Samuel Akintunde was the Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) in the Institution.
Similarly, the Council also approved the appointment of the Chairman University Transition Committee, Dr. Olufemi Abayomi Olajuyigbe as the Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor.
The information concerning the elevation of the two Principal Officers, was contained in a memo dated August 21, 2024, which was signed by the Deputy Registrar, Division of Council Affairs in the University, Mrs. Veronica Akpe.
Council noted that the Management, all staff unions, and the student body of the University had recommended the approval of the appointments.
In addition, the Council confirmed the appointments of other Principal Officers of the institution in acting capacity.
This include Mrs. Olufisayo O. Fakorede as Acting Registrar, Mrs. Taiwo O. Adedoyin as Acting Bursar and Dr. Mrs. Adeola F. Afolabi, as Acting University Librarian. The appointments took effect from 14th August, 2024.
